The Albertville Friendly City Days festival is almost here! My family loves when the carnival trucks roll into town because Friendly City Days is a big part of how we kick off summer. This year’s festival is taking place June 8–12, with five days of fun for all ages.
You can view the full event schedule here, but I’ve compiled a list below of the events that are especially suited to families with kids.
With summer vacation coming soon, those calendars are already starting to fill up! Make sure to leave room this year for your kids to attend a Vacation Bible School or other day camp at one of our great local churches!
Here’s a list of programs happening in our area in summer 2022, sorted by date. Some of them are free, but all require pre-registration. See links for full details.
FYCC (Family Youth Community Connections) is known for hosting great, FREE summer activities for STMA kids, and this year will not disappoint! Check out the flyer below to see what FYCC has planned for summer 2022.
We will have all these activities on our Events Calendar—available at the start of each month—but you can get all the details and sign up in advance at myfycc.com.
The Summer 2022 STMA Community Education brochure is on its way to your mailbox, and it is packed FULL of fun activities going on in the St. Michael–Albertville area this summer!
Check out the digital version of the brochure (linked below) for info on sports, swim lessons, creative classes, preschool activities, and more! Registration for these programs begins at 12:01am on March 30 at stma.ce.eleyo.com.
As any parent knows, there’s no “one size fits all” when it comes to how we raise our kids. The same is true with their schooling—not every school will meet every child’s needs! That’s why we are blessed to have so many great options for schooling here in the STMA area, from top-notch public schools to faith-based private schools to tuition-free charter schools.
In celebration of National School Choice Week, we’re sharing a list of alternatives to traditional public schools that are within 15 minutes of STMA.
(If you have little kids, click here to view instead a list of preschools in the STMA area)
