Literacy starts with the littlest learners! Join friends at the library for stories, songs, and crafts. This storytime is for ages 0-3 and their parents/caregivers.
On the third Saturday of the month, bring the whole family out to paint some pottery, and get 2 studio fees free when you buy 1! It is recommended that you call ahead to check space availability. Enjoy the sweetest part of spring by visiting the Eastman Nature Center sugar bush, collecting fresh sap, and exploring the history and science of maple syrup. Learn how sap becomes syrup by warming up by a steaming cauldron and watching sap transform into syrup (weather permitting). Taste maple syrup, learn how to make maple sugar, and enjoy a syrup sundae. Cost: $6/person Drop-in anytime, but reservations are recommended at threeriversparks.org
Share books, songs, and rhymes with your children at this storytime designed to promote school readiness in 0- to 5-year-olds. Librarians, caregivers and children will sing, talk, read, write and play together to build early literacy skills. Siblings are also welcome!
