Kids ages 5 & under are invited to play and meet new friends at Otsego's Open Playtime. This drop-in program offers an open play session full of toys, crafts, active equipment, and activities. Start your week out right... at the library! Share books, songs, and rhymes with your children at this storytime designed to promote school readiness in 0- to 5-year-olds. Librarians, caregivers, and children will sing, talk, read, write, and play together to build early literacy skills. Siblings are also welcome.
Rev up your summer! Otsego's annual Touch-A-Truck is your all-access pass to explore the big, bold, and fascinating world of vehicles. This interactive event invites children and families to get behind the wheel and possibly meet the everyday heroes who operate these powerful machines. Whether it's climbing aboard a fire truck, checking out the sirens in a sheriff's squad, or seeing how a dump truck works, there’s an adventure around every corner. The excitement really soars with a live helicopter landing and takeoff—a rare and unforgettable sight for all ages.
Little ones are invited to join their friends from ECFE to ride the school bus around town, making stops at local destinations. This is a terrific way for your child to experience the bus first-hand! Kids ages 6–12 are invited to show off their LEGO building skills! The library will provide the bricks and guides, you provide the imagination. Come meet with other builders and have some fun. Creations will be on display in the library for one month until the next LEGO Lab.
Join your friends at STMA ECFE to celebrate the wonderful moments you've shared throughout the year! Bring your family, a blanket, and your favorite picnic foods for a fun-filled day of games, laughter, and connection. Each family will receive a summer fun packet to take home.
