Would your K-4 child like a patient, attentive friend to read to? Reading to a dog provides the opportunity for your child to read to a registered therapy dog in a relaxed atmosphere. The library will have Sugar, a cuddly Goldendoodle, who will sit with your child and "listen" to a story. Children can practice reading out loud without fear of judgment. It's a great way for kids to gain confidence in their reading. Sign up for a reading time with Sugar at the library or call (763) 497-1998.
Visit the library for a brief storytime, then head outside to sit on, touch, and experience the vehicles. If it's on wheels, it will probably be there! This event is co-sponsored by FYCC and St. Michael Friends of the Library.
Bring your family to enjoy Delano's Fourth of July celebration, the oldest and largest Fourth of July celebration in Minnesota! The City of Elk River will be hosting a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. Enjoy the show from the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Join the Albertville Lions for an afternoon of free fun at Albertville Farmer's Market, with a Ninja Course, Petting Zoo, DJ, balloons, and more! (Must wear athletic shoes to participate in the Ninja Course.) Kids can also receive $2 in free produce if registered for Power of Produce at myfycc.com.
Join the Hanover Historical Society for its 4th Annual Ice Cream Social & Open House. There will be free activities for kids including face painting, balloon artists, and more. Sloppy Joes, hot dogs, and dessert provided as well as, of course, ice cream! Free will offering accepted; all proceeds go towards preserving the History Center and exhibits for future generations to enjoy. (Event held rain or shine)
