Next Thursday is the start of FYCC’s annual Power of Produce program at Albertville Farmer’s Market. Kids ages 2–17 will have the opportunity to “taste the rainbow” as they enjoy FREE fruits and veggies grown by local farmers.
The Albertville Farmer’s Market takes place each Thursday afternoon at the Lions Park Shelter. Kids are invited to sign up for the program at the FYCC tent beginning Thursday, July 5 and continuing through the end of August.
Once registered, kids will receive a $2 token each week that they can spend at select vendors throughout the market. Kids are encouraged to make their own food choices from the wide array of fresh, vendor-grown produce including fruits, vegetables, or food-bearing plants.
The Power of Produce program runs every Thursday from July 5 through August 30, and there is no cost to participate. Parent/guardian signature is required at registration.
