Come hang out at the library with your friends from ECFE! A staff member from STMA's Early Childhood program will lead storytime along with crafts, games, songs. This event is intended for ages 0 to 6 along with their parent or caregiver.
Start your week out right... at the library! Share books, songs, and rhymes with your children at this storytime designed to promote school readiness in 0- to 6-year-olds. Librarians, caregivers, and children will sing, talk, read, write, and play together to build early literacy skills. Siblings are also welcome.
Step into a Popup Ping-Pong Park and enjoy a fun, accessible way to play, connect, and unwind—whether you're a seasoned player or just picking up a paddle. The Temporary Table Tennis Trailer (TTTT) brings an artist-focused, mobile ping-pong experience to you. Offering spontaneous matches combined with encouragement to consider sport as artistic performance through play and conversation, the TTTT creates a welcoming space for all ages and skill levels. Drop in anytime!
Drop into the library anytime between 2 and 6 for an afternoon of creativity, snacks, and chill vibes! Bring your favorite book(s) and try out the latest BookTok trend—book bedazzling. The library will provide everything you need to turn your book cover into something brilliant—just bring the book you want to decorate! Then, try your hand at a second craft: clay bead bracelets—perfect for summer style or gifting. This is an open house–style event, so come whenever you can and stay as long as you’d like. All materials (except the book) and snacks will be provided.
FYCC and the Friends of the Library are bringing back the ever-popular "Touch a Truck" event at St. Michael Library! All ages are welcome to enjoy a truck-themed story and craft at the library from 9:30 to 10. Then, take your kids out to the parking lot from 10 to 11 to see, touch, and climb inside their favorite vehicles.
A unique educational experience for ages 5-12 that combines the magic of music and the wonder of mathematics. With the talented musician and educator George Maurer as your guide, this program gives students a backstage pass to the world of math in music, fostering a deep understanding of addition, subtraction, fractions, and patterns, while igniting a passion for creativity through the power of modern instruments and equations.
