Explore early literacy through play with your preschooler. Mixing story time with physical play to promote literature skills. Explore books using art, creative movement, and song while building vocabulary and pre-writing skills. Physical activity in the gym and SMART room, Literacy-rich play ideas including puppets and costumes. Incorporating arts and crafts to expand learning in hands-on activities. Each child will take home a book along with ideas to continue the love of reading at home. Expecting parents and parents of newborns up to 12 months are invited to the annual ECFE Baby Shower. Area businesses and community vendors will be present to share resources. This is a great opportunity to connect with other parents, visit the ECFE building, meet staff, and find out what ECFE is all about! Goodie bags for first 40 participants.
