Brown Family Farm (Big Lake)

At the grocery store today my daughter and I were talking about why we buy our fruits and veggies “in season” when I realized that we’re now just a few weeks away from receiving our first box full of locally grown, seasonal produce from Brown Family Farm!

Earlier this spring I shared with you the 3 things I love most about being a CSA member at Brown Family Farm.  Click to read >>

Farmers Ben & Jodi, along with their kids, have been hard at work this spring planting and caring for the “rainbow” of flavors my family is going to enjoy this summer. I hope you’ll consider joining us as a CSA member and sharing the benefits of fresh, local produce with your family, too!

A great NEW thing the Brown family has added for its members this year is an interactive website where we can share recipes and tips as we prepare and enjoy the same types of produce this summer and fall.

And speaking of fall, this year Ben & Jodi are teaming up with another local farm to provide other MNGrown products to their members. When you purchase a CSA share, you’ll also have the option to add on a delivery of honey-crisp apples when the fall harvest rolls around. YUM! 🙂

Disclosure: My family will be receiving a discount on our share this summer in exchange for my writing this article, but the opinions included here are my own. I really, truly love Brown Family Farm.
