Easter Activities for Kids (2021)

Easter is coming!! This is one of my favorite holidays for so many reasons, but a big one is that it’s like a celebration of spring for the whole community! There are many fun events that are popping up—or should I say, HOPPING up—right now, and I just had to share some of them with you.

Check out the list below for your chance to hunt some eggs or meet the Easter Bunny. Please be mindful of COVID protocols when choosing to attend these activities.

Toddler Tuesday: Bunny Dish
Tuesday, March 16  (times vary) | Color Me Mine, Maple Grove
Get creative with your little artist! (recommended ages 2–5) This month’s project will be a bunny dish. Choose a time slot to paint in studio or pick up a to-go kit and paint at home. (Cost: $10/child)

FYCC Bunny Family Bingo
Tuesday, March 25  6:30–7:30pm
Join FYCC for some socially distant family bingo in the parking lot. Enjoy some family time and have a chance to win fun prizes! (Cost: $15/family, Register online)

Valentine’s Week Events 2021

If you’re looking for a *sweet* way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your family, check out these themed events happening throughout the holiday week. Many of these events require pre-registration, so be sure to click through to the links and sign up before they fill up!

Valentine Scavenger Hunt
During open hours | St. Michael Library
Stop by anytime this month and hunt for hearts hidden all around the library! Visit the front desk for a scavenger hunt sheet.

Preschool Puppet Escapades
Friday, February 12  10am–12pm | Eastman Nature Center, Dayton
Preschoolers ages 2–6 are invited to watch a Valentine’s Day puppet show about Rosie the skunk at home and write a valentine for Rosie. Then visit the nature center anytime from 10am to noon to leave your valentine for Rosie, walk through the woods, try Valentine’s Day-themed activities, meet a special guest, and more. Reservations required by two days prior to receive video link. (Cost: $5/person)

2020 STMA Holiday Lights Tour

If any year could use some brightening up, it’s 2020, am I right? We here at STMAMom.com want to invite you and your family to grab a mug of hot cocoa and follow this path to tour some of the best and brightest holiday light displays in our community!

This year’s STMA Holiday Lights Tour includes a few new stops sent in by our readers. The tour stops at 7 locations and takes about 1 hour to enjoy start-to-finish. FYCC Community Halloween Event
Saturday, October 24  10am–12pm | FYCC, Albertville
Join FYCC and local businesses for a fun-filled morning outdoors. Bring your kids dressed in their costumes as well as trick-or-treat bags for candy, games, haunted house, straw bale maze, and more. (Free, but please register)

Eastman “Not So Spooky” Halloween
Saturday, October 24  10am–3pm | Eastman Nature Center, Dayton
Rosie the skunk has disappeared! Gather clues in the woods to help Rosie’s forest friends unlock the mystery of where she is, and earn a prize for finding her. Costumes encouraged. Reservations required by October 17. (Cost: Ages 3+ $8, under 3 $2).

Camp Arbor: Halloween To-Go
Saturday, October 24  11am–2pm | The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove
Register your kids in advance and drive by The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes management office for some “trick-or-treating” from the safety of your own car. Kiddos will receive treat bags with Halloween-themed activities and goodies. Costumes encouraged.
