Rol Air Plumbing & Heating

It figures—right?—that on one of the most uncomfortably hot days of this summer so far, our air conditioner would stop working.

We realized that our A/C wasn’t running just as my husband was headed out the door to a meeting. So, I jumped on Facebook to the STMA bulletin board group to see who the community was recommending for a fix, and the name I kept seeing there was Rol Air Plumbing & Heating.

Rol Air was able to send someone to our house within a couple of hours, and he arrived exactly when they said he would—so helpful to me as a busy mom! Jay (the owner) talked us through what was wrong with our A/C and helped us weigh the pros and cons of fixing just one part or replacing the whole system. My husband and I both felt like Jay was someone whose experience and recommendation we could trust.

The technicians arrived at 8 a.m. on installation day. (Again, right on time, thank you!) They were friendly and courteous and were very respectful of our family and our home. They laid out mats so they wouldn’t track dirt as they went in and out, and they checked in with us about once an hour to let us know what they were working on. They were working in our basement and yard all day but didn’t disrupt the other things we had going on.

When the installation was finished, technician Jerry talked us through everything they had installed and showed us how to use our new smart thermostat. They also helped us file for rebates and told us where we could go for help if we ended up with questions at some point down the line.

Ultimately, our experience with Rol Air was a very positive one. They are a small company that runs efficiently and without the overhead of some of the larger companies, which in turn helped keep our costs low by comparison. We did have to wait a couple of days with no A/C before they were able to get our new system installed, but that was due in part to the fact that my husband and I deliberated over what we wanted and missed out on some of the earlier time slots. That said, if you’re looking to have a repair or tune-up done, make sure to contact them and get on their schedule as soon as you’re able to!
