Great River Regional Library's annual Summer Reading Program will kick off on Monday, June 5, and continue through Saturday, August 5. The program is open to all kids ages 0 to 18 and divided by age: pre-readers (ages 0 to 3), kids (ages 3 to 12), and teens. Visit your local GRRL library during open hours to sign up. Kids and teens can track their reading in the Beanstack app or using a paper slip, which they return to their library to be eligible for prize drawings at the end of the program. Visit the library on St. Patrick's Day and follow the Leprechaun's Trail to his pot of gold! (for ages 4 to 12, while supplies last)

Kids and teens are invited to put their smash skills to the test, race against their peers, or have a dance-off with their friends! The library will have games like Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario Bros. Ultimate available. Feel free to bring your own Switch or share the library's controllers. For teens and kids ages 9 and up. Registration required at events.griver.org

In this program, kids will design a LEGO car that can transport an egg and see if it can roll the farthest off the end of a ramp. This is a fun LEGO building challenge and a great STEM activity. For ages 6 and up. Registration required at events.griver.org  (Limit 12)

Get inspired by artist Robin Meade and use watercolors and Sharpies to create bold colorful nature art that may include the ocean, landscapes, flowers, or birds. This event is for school aged kids and teens. Registration required at events.griver.org  (Limit 18)

Join the St. Michael Royalty as they read a Charlie Brown Christmas and help your kids create a fun holiday craft! For ages 3 and up

Share books, songs, and rhymes with your children at this storytime designed to promote school readiness in 0- to 5-year-olds. Librarians, caregivers and children will sing, talk, read, write and play together to build early literacy skills. Siblings are also welcome!

Join new local author Taylor Krumm as she shares her book "Lulu the Magnificent" along with other stories and a fun craft. For ages 3 and up, no registration required
