When I moved to the STMA area two years ago, I began hearing about St. Michael Boutique right away and assumed they were a long-standing business in the area. Little did I know then that they, too, were a new face in the community!

St. Michael mom Kim Baldwin opened the boutique in 2015 alongside her friend, Donna. “It was a little girl dream of mine to open a boutique,” Kim shared as she gave me a tour of her store.

But Kim didn’t set out to open a shop, or even to return to full-time work until her kids were grown. As a young mom, however, Kim found herself searching for natural remedies to her family’s skin problems. After a lot of experimenting and discovery about the benefits of essential oils, she began creating and selling natural skin care products out of her kitchen. When her kids were teenagers, Kim and Donna combined their individual passions and skills and opened St. Michael Boutique.

It is Kim’s goal to bring boutique-quality merchandise to women and moms at affordable prices. St. Michael Boutique is a great place to find clothes, jewelry, home decor, gifts, and Kim’s natural skin care products. Several of the items are handmade by local artisans, and Kim also searches nationally to find some of the best and most beautiful items to bring home to women in STMA.

Right now the boutique is featuring a selection of fun and unique gifts for under $20. You’ll find gifts for friends, sisters, teachers, co-workers… even a handful of items for the men in your life!

St. Michael Boutique is open Tuesday through Saturday (see Facebook page for hours) and is located in Colonial Mall. You can enter the mall near the post office, or drive around to the rear of the building to find the boutique’s private entrance.
