I just can’t believe how quickly summer is sneaking up on us! I feel like we just threw our last shovelfuls of snow off the walk, and suddenly it’s time to talk about Reading in the Park?
Our friends at FYCC have released their schedule of summer programs for both STMA and Hanover. Check out the fliers below, and save these dates on YOUR family’s summer calendar!
The summer 2019 community education brochure is on its way to your mailbox, and it is packed FULL of fun activities going on in the St. Michael–Albertville area this summer!
Check out the digital version of the brochure (linked below) for info on sports, swim lessons, creative classes, preschool activities, and more! Registration for these programs begins April 4 at stma.ce.eleyo.com.
Next Thursday is the start of FYCC’s annual Power of Produce program at Albertville Farmer’s Market. Kids ages 2–17 will have the opportunity to “taste the rainbow” as they enjoy FREE fruits and veggies grown by local farmers.
Earlier this week we made our way down to Delano to enjoy the Delano Splash Pad, and my kids totally had a blast there! When it originally opened, I’d my doubts about driving the 25 minutes from Albertville to Delano and paying for a splash pad when we have one just up the road in Otsego, but we absolutely love being there.
The splash pad is located within Delano’s Central Park (map below), in the same area of town where Delano hosts its popular 4th of July celebration. The splash pad features 15 interactive water structures, from small fountains for the littlest ones to toddle through to huge buckets that dump massive quantities of water onto clusters of giggling preteens.
Food meets FUN this summer as Alleluia Lutheran Church, STMA Schools, and Marketplace grocery store present “Breakfast at the Playground” each Wednesday morning starting June 13.
All school-aged children and adolescents in the STMA community are invited to have a free breakfast, which they can either “grab and go” or enjoy as they play on the playgrounds at St. Michael Elementary and Albertville Primary School. The goal is to encourage local youth to stay active and healthy during the summer months.
