Otsego’s Prairie Festival is an annual community celebration featuring local exhibitors, activities and entertainment for the whole family. The festival starts at 10am and continues throughout the day, culminating with a fireworks display at dusk. Full schedule at otsegofestival.com
Families and their four-legged friends are invited to this dog-friendly storytime! Join us for stories, a craft, and an opportunity for your dog to meet other dogs. This event will be held outside and is weather dependent.
Moms, bring your sons for an afternoon of ninja fun with FYCC! Cost is $30 per mother-son pair, and additional sons are just $5. Each son will receive a Ninja gaiter and enjoy a karate demonstration. Start your week out right... at the library! Share books, songs, and rhymes with your children at this storytime designed to promote school readiness in 0- to 5-year-olds. Librarians, caregivers, and children will sing, talk, read, write, and play together to build early literacy skills. Siblings are also welcome.
STEAM* at the Library is back! Join library staff for an hour of learning, exploring, and inventing. All you need is your imagination! For ages 7 to 11. Limit 10 children, but parents/guardians are encouraged to stay to work with their child. The coolest event in town! Glow N Skate is a special nighttime open skating event with the lights down and the music up. Cost: $6/skater (includes glow necklace) Rental skates: $2/pair
Come hang out at the library with your friends from ECFE! A staff member from STMA's Early Childhood program will lead storytime along with crafts, games, songs. This event is intended for ages 0 to 6 along with their parent or caregiver.
Kids ages 5 & under are invited to play and meet new friends at Otsego's Open Playtime. This drop-in program offers an open play session full of toys, crafts, active equipment, and activities. Come for the whole time or stay while you can. (Parent/guardian supervision is required.) Encourage a love of learning as you and your child play, explore, discover, count, and create. Stations are set up for participants to come and go as time and attention span permits. Activities are designed for ages 1 to 5. No registration, but room limits may be enforced.
