Kick off this magical season with some holiday cheer at Otsego's annual tree lighting event. Bring your family and friends to Prairie Center grab a cookie & a cup of cocoa, listen to SOAR Regional Arts' carolers preform some joyous melodies, bring your letters to Santa, meet some of your favorite holiday characters, and more!

Join the Hanover Historical Society at the historic pedestrian bridge in downtown Hanover to revive a Victorian community Christmas past. This family-friendly event is free—a gift to the community. Area church and school choirs/groups will lift us into a festive spirit with their lively renditions of familiar songs and carols, interacting with audience sing-a-longs. Everyone enjoys hot cider and cookies around crackling bonfires. Bring your camera for instant memories of your child bundled up in an authentic one-horse open sleigh and meet one-on-one with Old St. Nick.

Skate with Santa at the Rogers Ice Arena! Admission is $4/person and includes free hot chocolate. Ages 5 and under skate for free. Skate rentals available for $2/pair (sizes range from Toddler 6/7 to Adult 13)

Kids 6 and under are invited to join ECFE for open play at the STMA Multipurpose Facility on select mornings throughout the winter. Bring your kids to run around and play with age-appropriate toys provided by ECFE. Interact with ECFE staff and maybe make a new friend! As your family jumps into the beloved game, who will win? Everyone! Make your way around the colorful board, stopping to participate in fun and unusual activities. There will be science experiments, storytimes, puppets, and more. Children will win prizes, laugh and maybe even learn a thing or two! Bring the whole family for a night of bingo with FYCC, with a special appearance by Santa Claus from 6 to 6:30. Have fun with your family and win some great prizes! December's bingo prizes will all be stuffed animals. Cost: $20/family (can include grandparents)   Register at myfycc.com

The North Pole is coming to Otsego! The elves are busy transforming the City Shop into a winter wonderland for you and your family to walk through. The kids will get to see live reindeer, listen to carolers, and greet Santa and Mrs. Claus! Children will be able to hand their letters directly to Santa and receive a holiday treat. After meeting Santa, you will have the opportunity to walk through the North Pole Village Shops and possibly pick out some unique holiday gifts. The elves are planning other fun surprises for your kids, so register early... you won’t want to miss this magical day! Enjoy an interactive holiday storytime with songs, stories, and a craft. For ages 0-6 with their parent/caregiver. Siblings are also welcome.

Join your friends from ECFE for an evening playtime at the Dome! Families with kids 8 & under are invited to run, jump in the inflatables, and play inside the STMA All-Purpose Facility at STMA High School.  Cost is $5/family, and families must register online at https://stma.ce.eleyo.com Dome nights will take place: Friday, December 15 Wednesday, January 24 Monday, February 26 Thursday, March 7

Beat the Winter Break blues and join STMA Community Education on December 27 and 28 from 1 to 3pm for open play time at the Dome! No need to register online for this one. Cost is $5/family, payable at the door.
