If your family is looking for a relaxing mid-week dinner out at a reasonable price, be sure to check out Villa Bar & Grill in Albertville.

The Villa (formerly Emma Krumbee’s) is located just off I-94 and serves up an extensive menu of homestyle, made-from-scratch American food in a comfortable and family-friendly environment.

Every Wednesday night is “Family Night” at the Villa, when kids 10 & under eat FREE with a paid adult entree. And, on the last Wednesday of the month, your family can enjoy table-side magic with Kyle the Magic Guy between 5 and 7pm. Edit: Kids now eat free Monday–Wednesday, and Kyle the Magic Guy visits The Villa on Tuesdays.

We stopped in to the Villa last Wednesday to enjoy “dinner and a show.” My kids loved having Kyle the Magic Guy perform tricks at our table while we waited for our food to arrive. My daughter was so in awe that she spent part of our mealtime making up and practicing “magic tricks” of her own. 🙂

My husband ordered the buffalo chicken wrap, which was surprisingly spicy (a BIG plus in his book!). I enjoyed the grilled fish, and my two kids ate every bite of their fish and and chicken strip plates. For dessert, my family also shared a delicious slice of blueberry pie—with ice cream, of course—which managed to satisfy all four of us. In addition to its long list of pie flavors, the Villa’s bakery turns out a variety of pastries, including cinnamon and caramel rolls as big as your face! 🙂

The Villa also offers an all-day happy hour and daily food specials, which they regularly post to their Facebook page. On Wednesdays, the special is a Taco Plate that comes with three beef or chicken tacos plus rice and beans for just $6.50. (Link to the taco menu below)

In addition to good food, we found the service to be both speedy and pleasant. Our server, Jill, was very attentive, and the owner, Bryan, stopped by every table in the dining room to make sure guests were enjoying their meals.
