Not every day of summer is going to be sunny… and some days are going to be just TOO sunny to spend outside! That’s what I love about the Kids Bowl Free program offered at several local bowling alleys—by signing up in advance, you’ll have a ready-made indoor backup plan that won’t break the bank.
Through Kids Bowl Free, kids ages 2–18 can enjoy 2 FREE games of bowling per day, all summer long! (shoe rental additional) Parents who want to bowl can pay per game or purchase a Family Pass to use throughout the summer. When you register, you’ll need to select a location.
My kids and I love exploring the various parks in and around STMA. It’s not uncommon for us to visit a couple dozen different parks over the course of “park season” a.k.a. April to October.
I put several of our favorites into a bingo card for you to enjoy checking off with your family over the course of the spring and summer. Let me know in the comments when you get a bingo and which parks are your favorites.
The Minnesota DNR is offering FREE admission for visitors to any of its 75 state parks and recreation areas on four special days during 2021.
If you’re looking for a quick trip to explore nature in Minnesota, here is a list of state parks within 75 miles of STMA. (sorted by distance)
