The Selfie Co. is a “selfie museum” located in The Roots of Albertville, the brand-new building across the street from Coborn’s. The Selfie Co. is a creative content playground that features more than 15 uniquely themed photo sets where you can take selfies, record a TikTok, have a photo shoot with your kids, or whatever else you can dream up! 

Studio owner Samantha Pfeifer and her family are long-time residents of STMA who noticed people becoming more disconnected from one another following the pandemic. They created The Selfie Co. to give local families and friends a unique place to connect, have fun, and laugh together.

Samantha invited us to take a peek inside the studio space and see all the fun things it has to offer STMA-area families. My kids and I spent over an hour exploring the different sets and taking pictures of one another using all the cool backgrounds and props.

My 6-year-old son had a blast in the Star Wars-themed room using the realistic lightsabers and having his photo taken with Chewbacca and a stormtrooper. My preteen daughter, a budding photographer herself, took pictures in every space and particularly loved the neon room. She also enjoyed the selfie set that had chairs hanging from the wall that you could sit on!

I’m a huge fan of the show Friends, so of course I got a kick out of the classic coffee shop couch set that greets you when you enter The Selfie Co. I’d love to come back and get a group shot with my girlfriends on that couch!

My kids and I also enjoyed taking a turn in the SpinPix 360 revolving video booth, which features a central platform and a spinning camera that captures a fun and unique video of you and your friends from all angles.

The thing I appreciated most about The Selfie Co. is that each set has its own tripod and ring light to help you get your best shot and make sure everyone can get into the photo at once. There are also props in several of the rooms to make the spaces more interactive and inspire your creativity. What’s more, some of the sets rotate seasonally. Right now, you can snap a selfie in a spring rain setup, but the next time you come you might find something new to try out!

Daily admission passes to The Selfie Co. are $22 ($12 for kids 4 & under) and give you access to all of the photo sets as well as the TikTok stage and SpinPix 360. The Selfie Co. team also occasionally runs specials on its Facebook page, such as “Fur Baby Friday” or discounted admission deals on holidays and other special occasions.

In addition to general admission, The Selfie Co. offers monthly memberships for influencers, photographers, or those looking to make regular use of its professional recording studio. The Selfie Co. is also a great place to host a birthday party or other special event! Private event reservations start at $199 and are available any day of the week. The SpinPix 360 is also available to rent by the hour for off-site events.
