Family Fun at Albertville Friendly City Days (2021)

The Albertville Friendly City Days festival is almost here! My family loves when the carnival trucks roll into town because Friendly City Days is how we kick off summer. This year’s festival is taking place June 9–13, with five days of fun for all ages.

You can view the full event schedule here, but I’ve compiled a list below of the events that are especially suited to families with kids.

Splash Pad Opening Dates 2021

My kids are splash pad fanatics, so during the summer we’re usually at one of the STMA area’s water play areas at least once a week.

Here’s a list of the nearest splash pads and when you can expect them to open this year.

Town Center Park | St. Michael  *NEW in 2021!*

Vacation Bible School (VBS) – Summer 2021

With summer vacation coming soon, those calendars are already starting to fill up! Make sure to leave room this year for your kids to attend a Vacation Bible School at one of our great local churches!

Here’s a list of VBS programs happening in our area in summer 2021, sorted by date. Some of them are free, but all require pre-registration. See links for full details.

Kids Bowl Free (2021)

Not every day of summer is going to be sunny… and some days are going to be just TOO sunny to spend outside! That’s what I love about the Kids Bowl Free program offered at several local bowling alleys—by signing up in advance, you’ll have a ready-made indoor backup plan that won’t break the bank.

Through Kids Bowl Free, kids ages 2–18 can enjoy 2 FREE games of bowling per day, all summer long! (shoe rental additional) Parents who want to bowl can pay per game or purchase a Family Pass to use throughout the summer. When you register, you’ll need to select a location.
