Stop by the library for some self-led sensory fun! There will be mess-free activities and sensory bins out in the children's area for free play. This activity is suitable for preschool ages and up.

Come hang out at the library with your friends from ECFE! A staff member from STMA's Early Childhood program will lead storytime along with crafts, games, songs. This event is intended for ages 0 to 6 along with their parent or caregiver.

Kids ages 5 & under are invited to play and meet new friends at Otsego's Open Playtime. This drop-in program offers an open play session full of toys, crafts, active equipment, and activities. Come for the whole time or stay while you can. (Parent/guardian supervision is required.) Cost: $3/child at the door, or pick up a punch pass! Begin the holiday season early at Elk River's Downtown Tree Lighting! Bring your family and friends for a magical evening downtown at Rivers Edge Commons Park.- Kids can bring their letters to Santa to get them to him in time.- Enjoy carolers, crafts, and activities while you wait for the tree lighting.- View the tree lighting ceremony from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.- Bring a toy for the annual Fill-a-Truck Toy Drive hosted by the Elk River Fire Foundation.- Warm up by stopping into downtown businesses for delicious drinks, food, and holiday shopping.

School-age kids are invited to show off their LEGO building skills! The library will provide the bricks, you provide the imagination. Come meet with other builders and have some fun.

This fun family storytime is aimed at welcoming new families to the library. It includes songs, rhymes and stories that celebrate reading, books and using the library as a family. For children of all ages and their families.

Encourage a love of learning as you and your child play, explore, discover, count, and create. Join the library staff anytime during the hour for an open-ended play session. Activities are designed for ages 1 to 5. Registration is not required, but room limits may be enforced.

Kick off the holiday season with the Otsego Tree Lighting! Join Mayor Stockamp as she lights the tree, accompanied by the joyful sounds of holiday carols from SOAR Regional Arts. Afterward, Sprinkles the Elf will lead everyone inside Prairie Center to warm up with hot chocolate and enjoy a delightful storytime. Kids will also have the special opportunity to write and mail their letters to Santa.
