All kids are invited for an afternoon of fun with Albertville Lions Club at the Farmer's Market. Activities include a ninja gym, petting zoo, balloon artist, face painting, magician, and more! Don't forget to stop by the FYCC booth at the Farmer's Market to sign up for the Power of Produce program.
FYCC’s free “Power of Produce” program is open to kids ages 2–17. Each week that they visit the Albertville Farmer’s Market, kids will receive a free fruit or vegetable of their choice that was provided by farmers from the market. The P.O.P. program runs every Thursday, from July 3 through August 28. Parent or guardian permission/signature required at signup. The City of Elk River will be hosting a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. Fireworks will be launched at 10pm from the Oak Knoll Athletic Complex. Official viewing areas include the Elk River High School parking lot, Salk Middle School parking lot, Lion John Weicht Park. Librarians, caregivers and children will read, talk, craft and play together to build early literacy skills in kids ages 0-6. Each storytime will explore a different way to "Level Up" including reading specially curated books, interactive activities, and a craft. Siblings Welcome!
